Hi, I’m Tesha, the founder of Breakwater Candle Co.

Breakwater began as a simple search for cleaner, more meaningful fragrance in our own home, but it quickly evolved into a creative outlet, a passion project, and eventually a family-run studio. Together with my husband, Mike, we handcraft every candle from start to finish in small batches. Wicking, pouring, blending, testing, every step happens right here in our home studio with intention and care.

Breakwater’s clean-ingredient philosophy comes from a deeply personal place. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 29, I became committed to using only paraffin-free, phthalate-free, clean ingredients in the products I brought into my life. That commitment now guides every candle we create, thoughtful, safe, and beautifully crafted for your home.

Travel is at the heart of our inspiration. Mike and I have explored more than 75 countries, and many of our scents are rooted in the memories, landscapes, and cultures that have moved us along the way. Each candle becomes a way to share those moments, bottling the feeling of a place, a season, or a memory.
