Hi, I’m Tesha, the founder of Breakwater Candle Co.

What started as a simple desire to create clean, unique fragrances for our home soon became a full-fledged passion—and eventually, a family-run business. Together with my husband, Mike, we handcraft each candle from start to finish. From wicking and pouring to blending and testing, every step is done with care, right here at home.

As a woman-owned and disabled-owned business, this journey is deeply personal. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 29, I began re-evaluating the products I used every day. That shift sparked a commitment to using only clean, chemical-free ingredients—a promise that continues to guide everything we do at Breakwater. Living with MS has only deepened my resolve to create candles that are as safe as they are beautiful.

Travel is another major source of inspiration. Mike and I have explored over 75 countries, and many of our fragrances are rooted in the unforgettable memories, landscapes, and cultures we've encountered along the way.
