Hi, I'm Tesha, founder of Breakwater Candle Co.

Breakwater began as a simple search for cleaner, more meaningful home fragrance. What started as a personal passion soon grew into a family-run business, where my husband, Mike, and I handcraft every candle in small batches from our Arizona home studio.

Our commitment to clean ingredients comes from a deeply personal place. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 29, I became much more intentional about the products I brought into our home. I wanted candles that were beautiful, thoughtfully made, and free from ingredients I no longer felt comfortable burning. When I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, I decided to create it myself. That commitment continues to guide every candle we make—crafted with paraffin-free, phthalate-free, thoughtfully sourced ingredients that are as clean as they are inviting.

Travel has always been at the heart of our inspiration. Together, Mike and I have explored more than 75 countries, collecting memories of hidden cafés, misty coastlines, vibrant markets, and quiet forests along the way. Many of our fragrances are inspired by those places, capturing not just how they smelled, but how they made us feel. We hope each candle brings a sense of place into your home and inspires moments of comfort, nostalgia, and a little wanderlust.
